American Eric Young surprised on the prologue
Istrian Spring Trophy started in Umag with 1.6 km long prologue. Surprised winner was American Eric Young, he beat Dutch Martijn Tusveld and Slovenian Jan Tratnik for the top podium place. Adria’s best cyclist was Gašper Katrašnik in 29th place.

Adria Mobil Cycling’s team manager Boštjan Mervar doesn’t worry about the results, he know that the real race will start on Friday, on a stage with very hard and attractive finish in Labin. After this we’ll know who are favorites for the overall victory.

Jure Golčer shared some small details of the race plan: “We rode on the prologue as expected, with some reserve. Next two stages are much more to our likings, we will not have other option than to attack (just don’t spread this around).”
