Radoslav Rogina on his own for 120 km
Team Adria Mobil Cycling still controls the stage race Tour of Qinghai Lake. Highlight of the today’s hard stage was a battle for the overall title that took place between Adria’s Radoslav Rogina and Iranian Hossein Alizadeh; Hessin is still slightly in the lead. Russian Ilia Koshevoy won the stage.

Radoslav Rogina had a plan to attack on the today’s stage and get couple of seconds in the battle for yellow jersey, but against expectations the attack lasted very long. Radoslav said after the race: “It was a very hard day. I found myself in the solo escape and I was there for 120 kilometers. At first I had a plan to attack and get bonus on the intermediate finishes, but when I saw that the peloton in falling apart and that the yellow jersey is chasing me with the rider in third position overall, I attacked with everything I had and I pushed it as far as I could. I was caught about 15 kilometers before the finish. I used a lot of power today to get just three seconds behind Alizahed.”
